In a word, heartbreaking. Necessary, but gut-wrenching. This is the first coach we've had since Marv Levy (of the early '90s) who actually felt for the people of Buffalo, and you can hear it in his voice. You feel bad that he's not going to get the chance to be here to lead the way for the turnaround. I thought it would be him, and he believed it would be as well. It was hard to see such a good man get abused by the Buffalo media, particularly assclown Jerry Sullivan, over the past few weeks. I wish Chan Gailey the very best and can't express how wonderful it felt to hear him say that this is the only team that's ever fired him that he'll pull for.
That was a striking comment. Really shows where his heart is at. It's sad he didn't succeed.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I like the new blog design, the symbolism of a road is nice.
Perhaps this is unwanted since you disabled comments on your starting point post for the year, but it does seem to me that your starting point this year being 10 pounds less than last year is a notable achievement. It may seem entirely out of proportion to all the sweat and pain it took to get it, but still. Keep up this pace of weight loss and you will be dead in a dozen years or so.
That's one way to look at it.
No; I sincerely appreciate your unwavering support. It is always there even when I don't deserve it. Thank you.
